Almost the first question people ask when I am installing a mosaic is: How long did it take you to make that? The truth is that it depends on the amount of detail in the design. I don't have a set time per square foot. What I can say is that it generally takes between 60 and 80 hours to complete one of these planters. That time includes consultation (meeting with the sponsor), design (sketching the inspiration), fabrication (shaping the glass pieces and gluing them onto mesh) and installation (preparing the planter, adhering the mosaic, finishing the seam work and grouting).
